About
Wild Garden & Way: Exploring nature’s path, medicine, & wisdom.
Join Tea at Shiloh x Craft Society for an evening of weaving baskets with traditional plaited weaving techniques, preparing for the summer season's berry harvest.
This weaving method dates back hundreds of thousands of years and consists of "braiding" flat materials at right angles. Native Americans and Ancient Egyptians used natural grasses such as palm, yucca or flax for their plaits. We will be using flat reeds for this workshop, which were heavily used in American folk crafts.
Learn the art of berry basket weaving, creating your own ritual garden artifact while enjoying intentionally brewed, seasonal organic herbal tea pairings. You will be creating adorable tiny baskets, perfect for foraging berries.
Doors open at 7 pm pst.
