About

We often see first, think second, and feel last. For the average human, sight dominates one's perception of the world. Welcome to a social game inspired by the training of a tea sommelier.  On this occasion, you are invited to meet the soul of a tea — unseen and unnamed — guided only by scent and taste.

Through this workshop, we learn to identify ten types of Camellia sinensis teas through the natural play and curiosity of our diverse senses, rather than instruction. We develop sensitivities that allow us to read the history and life journey of a tea like a language—interpreting the environmental stories and human craft hidden in every sip. What does the passing of time smell like? Can we taste the pressure of a human palm on a leaf?

Beyond tea, this game invites you to deepen a quiet intelligence within the body. To taste more, sense more, and notice what often goes unseen. It’s a practice in reading the chemical language of air, food, water, and the world around us with clarity and care.


Artist Biography
Born and raised in Taiwan, Molan Jin is a classically-trained Mandarin tea practitioner and L1-certified tea sommelier (Taiwan Ministry of Agriculture.) Alongside her work in tea, Molan weaves her passions for geography, history, poetry, and East Asian philosophies into her practice, shaping each experience as a confluence wherein experiment meets tradition.

Molan spends much of the year dwelling in the tea regions, including:

๑ Taiwan (Pinglin, Nantou, Hsinchu, Taitung)
๑ Mainland China (Hangzhou, Wuyishan, Yunnan)

Know Before You Go

-  Reservations cannot be refunded or rescheduled.

-  No parties larger than 4, no exceptions. If we see large groups, we reserve the right to ask you and your party to leave. 

-  Our tea rooms are shoes-free.

-  Plan meals before/after your visit.

-  Our spaces do not allow pets or food.

-  Tea is always included.

-  Parking is in the warehouse district. Do not leave valuables in your car.

-  Children must be 13 years or older for Late Night Tea or workshops. All ages welcome for Daylight Hours.

- No photo shoots, no flash. You may capture your experience, but we invite you to prioritize presence and connection.
