About
This event does not take place at the teahouse or the annex. This event is at a new private location, 5 minutes away from the space. We will send confirmation with address and instructions before the event.
How can we connect to our wild lands in mindful, regenerative ways? This question plagues me every day. The more I learn about each individual plant, and grow my own, the more I realize that tending the wild is a path that will evolve until the day I die and yet, it's important to be inclusive in this conversation. I would even go as far as to say that wildlife conservation needs a reframe --one that doesn't exclude people from nature. Because although most people are not living day to day with the wildlife, it doesn't mean we are not affected by it. We need our plants, fungi, clean water, and all the insects and animals that keep the Earth in balance.
This Native Plant Tea Meditation is a space to get to know our native plants more intimately. It's also a space for us to have a conversation on how we could involve more people to tend the wild in truly loving and regenerative ways. Let's slow down in tea together and listen to the plants, they may have some guidance for us if we are still enough to pay attention.
We will sit together, drink tea made from an ethically harvested wild plant, get to know this plant, and then have a conversation about what it means to tend the wild.
