About
Our inner body is held together by thin sheaths of connective tissue that envelop and support our muscles, organs, and bones—the fascia. Through the deep frontal fascia, the pelvis and jaw are intimately connected, influencing one another in subtle yet profound ways. The way we use our voice and regulate our breath can either relax or contract the pelvic floor—and, in turn, our ability to express our voice and breathe smoothly is deeply tied to how our bodies hold our stories.
In this experiential, multi-sensory workshop, we will explore embodied pleasure through the mouth-pelvis axis, working with it both anatomically and symbolically. We will tend to this precious inner space through somatic movement, image-making, writing, and voicing, allowing it to express itself and reveal the wisdom it holds.
You will be gently guided to inhabit your body in artful and supported ways, and, through this process, attune to erotic sensing, feeling, and imagining, and cultivate a fuller sense of presence, trust, and freedom within yourself.
