About
Welcome in the autumn equinox with matcha. In this workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to explore both ceremonial and culinary grades of matcha, each with its own distinct flavor profile.
As you sip on these vibrant teas, you’ll also get to enjoy traditional autumn wagashi—Japanese confections that pair perfectly with matcha.
We’ll then dive into the art of matcha preparation. You’ll learn how to whisk your own matcha using a chasen (bamboo whisk) and chawan (tea bowl), mastering the techniques to create a smooth, frothy bowl of tea.
Whether you’re new to matcha or looking to deepen your appreciation, this workshop offers a peaceful moment to connect with the season and the traditions of Japanese tea.
