About

Bees are our planetary elders, and humans have had a relationship with them for tens of thousands of years. Cultures all across the world have revered bees both spiritually and practically— as cornerstones of our ecosystem, as spiritual guides, as healers. Science is now beginning to catch up and understand the mechanics behind the intelligence and healing potential of the bees.

In this workshop, we'll explore both the hardline chemistry and the enigmatic magic that makes bee medicine so powerful. In particular, we will dive into the intelligent medicine system of the hive and what it can teach us about new ways to approach our own health and healing. We will do a local honey tasting, experience bee venom acupressure, taste the potent medicines of bee pollen and royal jelly, and make blends of propolis and flower tea to take home.

This workshop will be led by Kate Hinkens, the founder of Stinglab, which is an organization dedicated to the research and therapeutic application of honeybee intelligence to improve human and planetary health. Kate healed herself from debilitating chronic Lyme disease using bee venom therapy and has since made it her mission to share the medicine of the bees. She teaches bee venom therapy and guides others through their healing journeys, is a speaker and educator, and is pioneering cutting edge research on the medical applications of bee venom.
