About

Join us for a hands-on workshop & cultural exploration of flatbreads and discover the meditative quality of engaging our hands to knead.

In this workshop, instructors Raquel Rodriguez & Nikko Cruz (@seedy__la) will guide you through the process of making 3 varieties of handmade quick bread dough and introduce you to history & science of wheat-flour flatbreads across the world. We hope that this workshop will spark a close relationship with dough and bestowed a physical way to connect with ancestors — to ”keep in touch“ both body and mind.

Included in the evening will be a selection of flatbreads, salsas, dips and other treats prepared by Seedy to enjoy. Each participant will bring home a versatile lightweight rolling pin, recipe cards & three kinds of flatbreads prepared in the workshop.

This workshop is vegan-friendly and nut-free.

Seedy is an LA-based duo sharing magical takes on nostalgic LA comfort foods that are sure to become some of your new favorites.

A Note from the Teahouse: With each workshop, we’re fusing the work of local artists and teachers together with our space and community. These evenings imprint new relationships, weave new worlds, and spark new beginnings. Thank you for your support.
