About
Hosted by Clay ca studios and Dajana founder of Rad Ceramics, join us in a ceramic class focused on hand building an intentional candelabra.
With the changing seasons, candles hold a rich significance across various cultures and contexts. They symbolize light in darkness, representing hope, spirituality, and the presence of the divine. Often used in rituals and ceremonies, candles can signify sacred space, remembrance, and the passage of time.
The class will begin with a brief introduction, followed by reviewing different ceramic techniques such as scoring and coil building. Each student will then write down their intentions, followed by creating a candelabra that embodies something meaningful to them. This can come in many forms ranging from fostering relaxation, dreams, celebration, comfort, or serving as a reminder to pause and reflect.
No experience is required for this workshop, all clay, candles, glazes, materials, tools, and small gluten free bites are to be included.
After class, pieces will slowly dry, be fired in Clay ca's kiln at 2300 Fahrenheit and ready for pick up within 4 weeks. (If you are traveling, shipping is optional too)
