About

Join us for an evening of ethereal harp at the teahouse. These nights are meant for those who want to come and experience the teahouse in a quieter, more introspective setting than our usual evenings of late night tea.

We encourage guests to bring books, journals, sketchbooks or any solo projects they are working on.

Timing wise, live music sets tend to occur in the middle of the evening but will ultimately be played to match the flow of the night. We recommend arriving before the end of the night to make sure you catch the live music.

Melodies by Leng Bian

Leng Bian is a harpist, songwriter, composer and producer from San Francisco, California.  She began playing the harp at the age of four upon seeing the instrument being played and describing the experience as “love at first sight.”  Over the last 10 years of her career, she has performed at hundreds of private and public events as either a solo artist, or with a multitude of different ensembles and bands, such as LA-based experimental projects, Sloppy Jane & Sharpie Smile. Her music primarily lives in the acoustic-folk realm, however she pulls influences from writers in other genres such as Steve Reich, Solange and Cate le Bon.  Bian composes instrumental pieces with the intention of alleviating others from mental, spiritual and physical pain.
