Tea & Clay in the Park

Join us for an intimate spring session under the trees in the grass at Elysian Park.This class is centered on how to create functional tea cups. 

All clay, tools, and materials provided. Together we will explore different approaches towards creating functional forms including coil and pinch pot building.  

Light snacks & tea will be provided ~ please feel free to bring food & beverages to share with the group as well!

Exact location will be sent via email prior to the workshop.

After class, all pieces are to be taken to clay ca studios and placed in the kiln for 48 hours, unloaded, glazed, and reloaded into the kiln where it will fully vitrify at 2167°F. After the kiln cools your piece is unloaded, packaged, and ready for pick up. To account for drying and cooling time it takes about 3 weeks to fire. If you do decide to make a functional piece please note that all glazes and clay bodies provided are food safe.
