Introduction to Shibori & Natural Dyes

An introduction to the art of shibori and natural dyes. No experience necessary for this class. We will learn the basics of shibori (folding, tying, and clamping to create resist patterns) and we'll dye with indigo (blue) madder (red) and weld (yellow). These colors can be layered to create an endless rainbow of combinations.

All materials and supplies will be provided. You’ll take home new knowledge, skills, and a 27” x 27” cotton bandana dyed with your pattern and color creation.
