Chinese Herbal Medicine Series I: Yin and Yang Tonics

Join Dr. Maritza for the first workshop of a Chinese Herbal Medicine Series where we will learn about Yin Yang Theory and Tonic Herbs from the Chinese Medicine Pharmacopeia. Dr. Maritza is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine who specializes in the treatment of trauma, anxiety and spiritual health. 

We will learn the foundational theory and basics of Chinese Herbal Medicine. This workshop will be centered around 4 herbs 1 from each of the following TCM Herbal categories: Qi Tonic, Blood Tonic, Yin Tonic and Yang Tonic. We will learn the functions and indications as well as the Western Pharmacological properties of each herb. Guests will brew their own tonic tea and begin to formulate a relationship with the herbs. At the end of the workshop, you will be given an herbal blend of the herbs to take home to continue to connect with as a tea.
