About
The infamous notion of writers block is a phrase that yields the writer powerless, stripped of their own autonomy in relation to the very thing that fuels them. What if, for an evening, we pick ourselves out of our mind and drop us into our fleshly bodies? Though our brains carry wisdom, our vessels are the ones to experience it.
In this workshop writer and artist Nic Sunara will guide guests on a journey of exploration and play in their poetry by focusing on their sense of sight as inspiration.
Partner-based activities will include eye gazing and Socratic circle with time at the end for reflection and sharing.
Come to see, and be seen. Leave with inspiration and new writing. Please bring a journal and something to write with.
Doors open at 7pm. Workshop begins at 7:30pm. Doors will close once workshop begins, so please arrive promptly.
Led by Nic Sunara
A Note from the Teahouse: With each workshop, we’re fusing the work of local artists and teachers together with our space and community. These evenings imprint new relationships, weave new worlds, and spark new beginnings. Thank you for your support.
